This decision by the NBEMS has made all candidates who took the NEET SS 2023 exam eligible for the upcoming special round of counselling

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released an official notification regarding the reduction in the qualifying percentile for the special round of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2023 counselling. According to the official announcement, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has lowered the NEET SS cut-off to zero, making all candidates who took the NEET SS 2023 exam eligible for the upcoming special round of counselling.

Medical aspirants should note that the NEET SS 2023 was conducted by the board on September 29 and September 30, last year and the result for the same was made public on October 15.

NBEMS has permitted all the applicants who have completed their post-graduation in accordance with NMC guidelines and have appeared for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Super Speciality (NEET-SS) 2023 exam for the academic year 2023 will be eligible to take part in the forthcoming special round of NEET SS 2023 counselling.

Students can visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at www.mcc.nic.in and register for NEET SS special round counselling. “Candidature is purely provisional subject of the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in NEET-SS 2023 Information Bulletin and verification of their Face ID/Biometric wherever required,” reads the NBEMS notice.

The original NEET SS 2023 cut-off was 50 percentiles, which was later reduced to 20 percentiles. While NEET SS counselling 2023 is underway, the NMC has proposed that the NEET SS cut-off 2023 be reduced to zero.

NEET SS Counselling 2024: Documents Required

Medical aspirants must keep the below-mentioned documents handy for the NEET SS special round counselling:

–– Certificate of permanent/provisional registration issued by the National Medical Commission/ National Board of Examinations/State Medical Council.

–– Birth certificate or high school diploma degree to verify date of birth.

–– Government based ID proof such as PAN card, Aadhar card, voter ID card, driver’s license, or passport

–– NEET SS seat allotment letter 2023 issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

–– NEET SS 2023 admit card

–– NEET SS 2023 Result

–– MBBS degree certificate

–– MS/MD/ DNB degree certificate in the concerned speciality

It is important for candidates to remember that there is no change in NEET SS rank as of October 15, 2023.
