The leading car manufacturers in India reported good sales figures in September 2024. Some brands have unlocked a new milestone by breaking their previous sales record, some have reported impressive sales figures and closed the month on a good note.
In this article, we have created a list of top car makers in India that witnessed impressive sales numbers last month, and dominated multiple segments with their products.
Hyundai India Sales Report
Starting from Hyundai first. As per the details shared by brand, it achieved good sales figures last month in India. The company has sold a total of 64,201 units, out of which 51,101 units have been released in the domestic market, while 13,100 models have been exported.
Kia Sales Figures
The premium car maker Kia did some good business last month. It has successfully sold a total of 23,523 units in the domestic market. The brand has also witnessed a 17 per cent Y-o-Y growth as compared to the figures achieved last year same month.
It has been informed by the Kia that Sonet facelift remained in the hot-selling category and became a top-performing model in the lineup. The Korea-based manufacturer said the model contributed to its overall sales figures, giving good sales figures, followed by Seltos and the Carens.
Mahindra Sales in September
Mahindra also performed well in September. It has retailed over a total of 51, 062 SUVs. These numbers have grown by 9,795 units compared to the same period last year. The company also showed a growth of 24 percent.
Talking about the overall sales figures for FY, the homegrown brand has broken its previous record, settling the sales figures at 2.6 lakh units as of September.
Toyota Kirloskar Sales Performance
As far as Toyota Kirloskar is concerned, it has also received a decent response from India customers. The company has registered a total sale of 26,847 units in September 2024. These numbers have grown by 14 percent compared to the same period last year.
