The top car manufacturer in India Tata has been working on expanding its EV lineup in India. To achieve the goal, the brand is gearing up to introduce Punch EV in the country, which is scheduled to launch on Jan 17. However, ahead of the official release, the vehicle was spotted at the dealerships, revealing its overall design and some of the key features.

Tata Punch EV Design

As per the leaked images, the Punch EV shares a similar design structure as the ICE model. However, some cosmetic changes are clearly can be seen. From outside, the vehicle will come with an aggressive front fasic, featuring a proper LED headlight setup, paired with LED DRLs and flaunting an uplifted nose.

Talking about the side profile, seems like the company has not invested much effort as it carries the unchanged design elements. It gets the same heavy cladding on the sides, which makes it look heavier and gives it a bold road appearance. When it comes to the rear, it gets an identical style taillight to the fuel-powered model with Punch badging on the back.

Interior Updates

Jumping inside the cabin, it is the area where some updates might attract customers. The car will come with a Nexon-inspired multi-function steering wheel, flaunting an illuminated company logo on it. It also gets a floating touchscreen infotainment system, which will support all wireless car connect technology including Android, Apple, and auto CarPlay. Customers will also receive an updated air-conditioning module, an electronic parking brake, and a decent-sized sunroof.

Battery and Power

It has been reported that the Punch EV will be based on ‘acti.ev’ platform, equipped with AWD, RWD, and FWD drivetrains. It will feature 25kWh and 35kWh battery packs, delivering a decent range between 300-600 km on full top-up.
