Bengaluru Woman Harassed by Transgender in Public, Reddit Post Leaves People Shocked

A 27-year-old woman from Bengaluru took to Reddit and shared how she was harassed by a transgender. Going by an anonymous name, the woman said that the incident took place in Koramangala lane when suddenly a transgender grabbed her. On asking how he can touch her without permission. He removed his saree’s pallu and passed a degrading statement. According to the Reddit post, the transgender said, “tere pass bhi woh hai jo mere pass hai,” which translates to “you have just what I have.”

Scared by what had happened, the woman kept walking where there was traffic and transgender kept on harassing her with ill words. The transgender used words like prostitute to demean her. He also kept on asking her to touch his private parts because she was wearing a dress.

The most heartbreaking thing about the entire incident was that no one from the public dared to come forward and help her. The post, since being uploaded, has gone viral, and garnered multiple responses from people. Here, have a look at the post:

“Honestly speaking nothing will happen. They are hand in glove with Police and Autowalas. The police take their share from them. I (M) have been harassed recently where they touched my inner thighs while I was in Auto and abused me for giving only 10 Rs instead of Rs 50,” wrote a person, sharing a similar instance. Another person mentioned, “You should put your story on twitter (X). At least it will reach a wider audience and people will realise that such assholes are nuisance around.”

Sharing a similar incident, another person wrote, “25M When I was using the crosswalk from the majestic bus stand to the railway station, a transgender stopped me asking for money when I said no started walking forward they groped me so as a reflex held their hand tight and pushed away, then the usual cursing started.”
