Gold Price Today: Rate Hikes in Major Cities; Silver Too Gains Marginally
In the national capital, the rate of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 44,300 per 10 grams. While buyers will have to pay Rs 48,330 for purchasing 10 grams of 24-carat gold.

The rates of gold witnessed a massive hike on Friday, March 12, as the cost of one gram of 22-carat gold increased by Rs 28 to stand at Rs 4,371 compared to the earlier rate of Rs 4,343. Following the same trend, the cost of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold surged by Rs 280 to Rs 43,710 from Rs 43,430. According to Good Returns, the price of 24 carats of the yellow metal also witnessed an increase of Rs 280 for 10 grams similar to that of the 22-carat of the metal to stand at Rs 44,710 from Rs 44, 430 on the previous day. The rates of silver too observed a marginal increase on Friday.

Delhi: In the national capital, the rate of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 44,300 per 10 grams. While buyers will have to pay Rs 48,330 for purchasing 10 grams of 24-carat gold.

Chennai: For 22-carat gold, the customer will have to pay Rs 42,500 per 10 grams while for 24-carat gold of the same quantity the cost is Rs 46,340.

Kolkata: The rate of the yellow metal in Kolkata stood at Rs 44,330 for 10 grams while for 24-carat it is Rs 46,970 per 10 grams.

Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold per 10 grams in Mumbai is Rs 43,710, while the purchaser will have to pay Rs 44,710 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold.

International Price of GoldIn the international market, the rate of gold has decreased by 0.31 percent to USD 1,717.70 per ounce on Friday. Similarly, the performance of the yellow metal in the last 30 days has declined by 6.53 percent which is equivalent to USD 120.10.

Silver PricesMarginal gains were witnessed in silver prices on Friday as the prices rose by Rs 2 to stand at Rs 676 per 10 grams compared to Rs 674 on the previous day.

Silver Rates in Metro CitiesIn major cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata the cost of silver stood at Rs 67,600 for one kilogram as the costs were the same in these cities. Whereas you will have to pay more if you want to buy the metal in Chennai and Hyderabad that is Rs 73,200 for the same quantity of metal.
