New Delhi: The markets trading very quiet with marginal gains on the back of weak performance of IT and metal stocks. Rest of the BSE indices are in green with marginal gains. The market breadth is also not very exciting.
At 1019 hrs, IST, the Sensex was up 31.05 points or 0.22 per cent at 14111.19, and the Nifty was up 10.35 points or 0.25 per cent at 4157.45. About 872 shares have advanced, 610 shares declined, and 65 shares are unchanged.
Top gainers on the Sensex are Grasim at Rs 2,420 up 1.87 per cent, Tata Motors at Rs 653 up 1.19 per cent and HDFC Bank at Rs 1,100 up 1.11 per cent.
Top losers on the Sensex are TCS at Rs 1,153.05 down 1.16 per cent, Hindalco at Rs 160.65 down 0.89 per cent and Wipro at Rs 519 down 0.72 per cent.
Most active shares on BSE are Time Techno at Rs 538 with 5,97,752 shares, Divis Labs at Rs 5,910.10 with 39,990 shares and Euro Ceramics at Rs 155.55 with 13,59,282 shares.
Top percentage gainers on the BSE are Nirav Commercial at Rs 2,493.50 up 20 per cent, Hariyana Ship at Rs 30.80 up 18.46 per cent.
