Actor Soori To Get More Remuneration Than Sasikumar For Garudan: Reports
Reportedly, Soori has been paid around Rs 8 crore for the lead role in Garudan, while Sasikumar got Rs 2 crore for his role in the film.

The Tamil film industry has been in the news for producing some of the most engaging films in recent times. Another film that is all set to entertain the audience is Garudan. The film is directed by Durai Senthilkumar and stars Soori, Unni Mukundan, and Sasikumar in the lead roles. The highly anticipated rural entertainer has created a lot of buzz among the audience, and the fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The makers have not disclosed the release date of the film yet. Now, there have been reports that have suggested that actor Soori has gotten a higher remuneration than seasoned actor Sasikumar in the film.

Soori has made a name for himself in the Tamil film industry. He is popular for his comic roles and has garnered a lot of love for his performances. Some of his films like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Desingu Raja, Jeeva, Vedalam and Zilla became hits. As his films started garnering success, the actor shifted his focus from comic roles to serious roles.

Now, He will be playing the lead role in Garudan. As per reports, the actor’s remuneration has also surpassed the fee for Sasikumar. Reportedly, Soori has been paid around Rs 8 crore for his lead role in the film, while Sasikumar will be getting Rs 2 crore for his role in the project.

Soori played the lead role in Viduthalai Part 1. The film was directed by Vetrimaaran and it was from this film that their association started. The story of Garudan is written by Vetrimaaran. Earlier, the makers had also revealed the first glimpse of the film. The video released by the makers is set in a secluded desert-like location.

The name Garudan, when translated to English, means an eagle, symbolising keen eyes, vigilance and keeping a lookout for enemies. In the Vetrimaaran-written film, the scene features Soori chasing a man while a black dog chases a flying disc, potentially symbolising loyalty.

Apart from the leads, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Shivada Nair and Motta Rajendran in important roles. Garudan is produced by K Kumar under the banner of Lark Studios. The music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
