Leo Box Office Day 3: Thalapathy Vijay Film SLOWS Down at BO, Surpasses Rs 140 Cr
Leo Box Office Collection Day 3: Thalapathy Vijay's film inches towards Rs 150 crore but at a slow pace.

Leo Box Office Collection Day 3: Thalapathy Vijay’s film seems to be struggling at the box office. The Tamil film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has witnessed a downward curve since its release in Tamil Nadu. The highly anticipated film opened to an impressive Rs. 27.63 cr in Tamil Nadu but has dropped down to a collection of Rs. 13.32 cr on its third day. This is a little over Rs 2 cr drop since its second-day collection in the state. This has pushed Leo to surpass Rs. 50 Cr.

Trade expert Manobala V took to X and wrote, “#Leo TN Box Office CROSSES ₹50 cr mark in the state on 3rd day. The film doesn’t show any improvement even on Saturday. Jailer on the other hand minted ₹ 76.09 cr from its first 3 days of run. For Leo film, the negative WoM is playing against it.”

He shared the three day break down from Tamil Nadu:

Day 1 – Rs. 27.63 cr

Day 2 – Rs. 15.95 cr

Day 3 – Rs. 13.32 cr

Total – Rs. 56.90 cr

However, box office website Sacnilk.com, Leo is slowly inching towards the Rs 150 crore club. Reporting about the collection from various territories, the platform revealed that Leo has collected Rs 140.50 crore domestically in three days. Early estimates hint that Vijay’s film has collected Rs 40 crore domestically on day 3.

Leo is an action thriller which also features Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy co-wrote the script with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

News18 Showsha’s review of Leo read: “Thalapathy Vijay’s performance is easily one of the highpoints of Leo. Trisha gets a decent screen time, but her character doesn’t add much value to the story. Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has given an effortless performance. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt is unfortunately wasted in the film. His charisma seems to be missing and his character looks weak in front of Vijay’s character in the film.”
