Helmed by Na Suseenthiran, the upcoming film titled Valli Mayil has been making headlines for a while now. It boasts an ensemble cast including Vijay Antony, Sathyaraj, Faria Abdulla, Thambi Ramaiah, Bharathiraja, Manoj Bharathiraja, and Sunil among a few others. Recently, the makers of the film dropped its teaser and the launch event was attended by the lead actor along with director and popular names like Sathyaraj and D Imman. During the event, actor Sathyaraj emphasized why the film was special to him.
The Baahubai fame actor, Sathyaraj said, “We cannot talk about our principles in most of the films we act in. We go to work, do what is required for the film, and come back. But, this film talks about my principles.”
The actor went on to heap praises on director Suseenthiran and Vijay Antony, the protagonist of the film. He said, “Suseenthiran shoots every film differently. He has another story in his mind which if made and released, will be an even bigger film. Vijay Antony is a great man, clear about what comes his way. It was a pleasure to act with him. Glad that the film has been titled Valli Mayil, after a female character. Thanks to Vijay for being a part of it.”
He also praised the music director of the film and said, “I have heard great things about Imman. He composed music for a film I know without getting paid.”
Vijay Antony also spoke to the media at the event and said, “I learned a lot about direction while acting in the film Valli Mayil. Acting with Sathyaraj sir and working with Imman was a joyous experience.”
Touted to be a rural entertainer, Valli Mayil is set in the mid-80s. The action thriller film will be released in five languages, namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. Bankrolled by Nallusamy Pictures, the music for the film has been composed by D Imman and the editing will be done by Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalves. Well, the makers are yet to announce the release date for the film.
