Sai Pallavi is one of the most popular names in the film industry. As per reports, the actress was expected to star with some of the biggest names in the film industry but chose to turn down those projects for many reasons.
The actress was reportedly roped in to play the lead in Ajith-starrer 2022 release Valimai, but she reportedly refused the film because her character would not get enough reception, as there was no scope for her in that role.
Not just Valimai, but before Rashmika Mandanna, it was Sai who was approached by the makers of Varisu to be the lead in the Thalapathy Vijay starrer. But the actress rejected the role, as she felt it was uninteresting, as per reports.
The makers of Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai also wanted Sai Pallavi for the lead, which was eventually played by Aditi Rao Hydari. According to reports, she refused the film as she was not comfortable with the story.
Sai Pallavi could have also starred with the Megastar Chiranjeevi in his 2023 release, Bhola Shankar. But she refused the film stating she does not like remakes, reports state. In the 2023 blockbuster film Leo as well, Sai was reportedly the first choice to play the female lead alongside actor Vijay. She turned the role down stating that the story was not suitable for her, as per reports.
Sai Pallavi currently has several upcoming projects in her hands such as Amaran and Thandel. In Amaran, she is going to be seen with Sivakarthikeyan, which is being produced under Raaj Kamal Films International. In Thandel, the actress will be starring alongside Naga Chaitanya.
