'He's a Hardworking Cricketer and We Back Him': GT's Director, Vikram Solanki on Mohit Sharma's Declining Form Ahead of RCB Clash
GT's Director, Vikram Solanki has backed Mohit Sharma to get back to form and deliver for GT who take on RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.

The form of Gujarat Titans’ lead pacer for the season, Mohit Sharma has not been where the side would want it to be. However, ahead of their upcoming clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Vikram Solanki, GT’s Director of Cricket has backed the experienced pacer to get back into his best form ahead of their coming game against GT.

Mohit has gone wicketless in the previous two games and also went for 73 and 41 runs against Delhi Capitals and RCB respectively. GT has relied on the pacer do get the job done, especially through the deathovers.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Solanki highlighted how the pacer was able to get back in the circuit for playing regularly after some exemplary performances for the Titans especially last year which took them to the finals.

“Mohit is somebody who has so much experience and I’m sure you guys all monitored and see how he came back last year. Sometimes, definitely, as a bowler, batters are just fearless at the moment and you see up the order how some batters just take it on and the time when Mohit is bowling,” said GT’s Director of Cricket.

“Sometimes he’s bowling some tough overs and the wickets are so placid at the moment, people are just hitting through the line but we back Mohit he’s a world-class bowler and he’s a phenomenally hardworking cricketer and we believe in him,” said Solanki at the pre-match press conference ahead of RCB vs GT clash,” he added.

The Titans will look to get some revenge as they play RCB once again and hope to get back to winning ways if they are to put up a chase for a spot in the playoffs and a win will be crucial for the side in that regard.

If GT are to get the win, they will need significant support from the pace-attack that is currently missing their lead pacer, Mohammed Shami who has not played a single game since the ODI World Cup 2023.
