IPL 2024: Yashasvi Jaiswal Welcomed Back to Rajasthan Royals' Camp With Massive Applause - WATCH

The young star, Yashasvi Jaiswal has made his way back to the Rajasthan Royals’ camp ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024).

RR posted a video on their official handle on X (formerly Twitter) where the star batter was seen being welcomed after a stellar performance in the recently concluded Test series against England. The youngster went on to score over 700 runs in the five-match series which included two double-hundreds to bag the Player of the Series Award.

Jaiswal will be looking to carry the momentum for the IPL as well with the left-handed opener aiming to score big runs for his franchise on their quest to bag their second title.

In the previous season, the 22-year-old had scored over 600 runs including one century and five fifties. But the team were unable to make it through to the playoffs as they finished fifth on the points table with 14 points.

The left-handed batter will now be expected to lead the batting unit along with the experienced Jos Buttler at the top of the batting order and provide the side with a big start if they are to have a shot at the title.

This season however, the Royals have bolstered their squad with the West Indies T20 skipper, Rovman Powell along with the left-handed pacer, Nandre Burger, English batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore and the uncapped Indian player, Shubham Dubey.

With a fairly settled side, RR will look to get back in contention for the title as the side led by Sanju Samson gears up for the season with their first game coming up against the Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on March 24.

The IPL 2024 season will begin on March 22 with a cracking fixture between the defending champions, Chennai Super Kings taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium to begin the first phase of the season.
