Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is celebrating the first birthday of his son Angad on Wednesday (September 4). On the special occasion, his wife Sanjana Ganesan took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note. The post also featured some adorable family pictures where little Angad can be seen sitting on the lap of his parents. One of the pictures also captured the toddler playing with his birthday cake. “Our pride and joy, our son, our little superhero is ONE,” read the caption of the post.
Angad was born on September 4, 2023. Bumrah, who was playing for India in the Asia Cup at that time in Sri Lanka, had skipped the India vs Nepal match to return to India to be with his wife.

However, after his son’s birth, he returned to Colombo and played in the high-voltage Super 4s match against Pakistan on September 10.
Bumrah, who missed the 2022 T20 World Cup and WTC 2023 final due to a back injury, made his comeback to competitive cricket last year in August during a three-match T20I series against Ireland, and since then he has impressed everyone with his performances in all three formats of the game.
He was on fire for India in the ODI World Cup last year, and in 2024, he picked up 15 wickets for the Rohit Sharma-led side in eight matches of the T20 World Cup. For his super show with the ball, the right-arm pacer won the Player of the Tournament award.
Since helping India end the 11-year wait for an ICC trophy in the West Indies and USA in June, Bumrah has been out of action and is likely to make a comeback during a two-match Test series against Bangladesh later this month.
The first Test of the two-match series between India and Bangladesh is set to start on September 19 in Chennai, and Green Park Stadium in Kanpur will host the second match from September 27 onwards.
After Bangladesh, India will face New Zealand in a three-match Test series at home and then travel to Australia to play five Tests against the Baggy Greens. The first match of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled to start on November 22 in Perth, and the next four matches will take place in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
