Rahul Dravid Receives Special Gift From British Painter Ahead Of Dharamsala Test
Ahead of the Dharamsala Test, Head coach, Rahul Dravid received a special painting before the match started.

The ongoing Test series between India and England has certainly been a treat to watch. The excitement among fans was evident in the first four matches as the venues hosted a huge crowd on every occasion. Alongside Indian supporters, many English people marked their presence at the stands to enjoy the enthralling red-ball clashes. One of them is an artist named Andy Brown, who has travelled to India to make paintings of on-field moments of the Test series. He is currently in the picturesque city of Dharamshala where the fifth and final Test is underway.

Ahead of the match, the British artist paid his tribute to Team India head coach Rahul Dravid by gifting him a beautiful painting. Fans who have watched the previous matches on television could spot Andy Brown on the sidelines. He has been pursuing his career as an independent artist for more than five years.

Andy Brown, an avid follower of sports, mainly loves to capture fast-paced moments transpiring on the field and make them more vivid with his creativity and skills. He recently shared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) where he could be seen posing alongside Rahul Dravid.

The Indian legend had smilingly held the painting of himself while showing a thumbs-up to the artwork. Andy Brown perhaps picked the subject from a training season as Rahul Dravid was captured in a serious mood, keeping his watchful eyes on the players.

Andy Brown wrote in the caption, “With Rahul Dravid, the Indian head coach, yesterday. He said some very kind words about my work & how the team have enjoyed having me document the series. The players & coaching staff have been incredible – kind, welcoming & hospitable. Thank you all."

Last week, Andy Brown dropped some of his paintings featuring moments of the first Hyderabad Test on Instagram. In one of those pictures, Brown was seen posing with Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who recognises painting as his hobby. The duo also spend some time speaking about their common interests.

In a video shared by the Indian Cricketer Team on Facebook, Andy Brown was heard saying, “It was amazing. We (me and Kuldeep Yadav) talked about painting, we talked about art. He paints a little bit. We talked about cricket and it was very pleasant."

According to a report by INews, Andy Brown sent a mail to the BCCI last December, seeking permission to cover the historic England series. He got the reply ten days ahead of the opening Test and immediately planned his trip to India.
