Chennai Super Kings had some special guests in Hyderabad where the team played their second away game of IPL 2024 on Friday.
MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi and their daughter Ziva were in attendance at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium to cheer for the reigning champions.
Despite being the home of Sunrisers Hyderabad, the venue witnessed a sea of yellow fans, who turned out in huge numbers to watch iconic Dhoni.
CSK, however, ended up losing the match by six wickets.

CSK shared a picture on Instagram where the mother-daughter duo could be seen watching the game from the stands.
To show her support for the visiting unit, Sakshi opted for a yellow dress.
As far as CSK’s performance is concerned, the five-time champions have been struggling to showcase their A-game in away matches this season. Under the captaincy of Rututraj Gaikwad, CSK pulled off a roaring start to the campaign, thrashing Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans in the first two matches. Both games were played in Chepauk.
For their third match of this IPL, CSK travelled to Vizag to clash against Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals. It was a game of mixed emotions for the CSK fans. They enjoyed glimpses of vintage Dhoni as the former captain played a blistering knock of 37 runs in just 16 deliveries. CSK, however, suffered a 20-run defeat in the away game.
The Chennai batting unit looked quite pale in the match against SRH.

Batting first, CSK managed 165/5. Shivam Dube was the star of the night for the visitors. The allrounder scored a quickfire 45 off 24 balls, helping his team reach a fighting total.
SRH didn’t face any trouble during the chase and won the game with more than one over to spare.
CSK will be desperate to return to winning ways when they host Kolkata Knight Riders in their next match of the season. The contest is scheduled to be held at Chepauk on April 8.
