Indian ace batter Virat Kohli looked completely focused ahead of his practice session for the second Test against New Zealand. Team India are currently preparing for their second Test against the Kiwis scheduled to be played in Pune. The match will begin on October 24 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. A couple of days before the commencement of the fixture, a video of Kohli going to practice is doing rounds on social media. In the video, the star batter can be seen rocking a blue-coloured training top and a pair of black shorts. He was also wearing his signature sunglasses as he kept walking towards the gate. “Virat Kohli going for Practice Session in Pune – The goat is coming to roar,” read the now-viral post showcasing the former Indian skipper.

Hours before the video had gone viral, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted at a kirtan in Mumbai. The event was organised by Krishna Das on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. The star couple duo looked in complete devotion as they offered prayers with their eyes closed. A glimpse of their visit was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

As for the India-New Zealand series, the hosts did not put up the best of shows during the opening Test in Bengaluru. Batting first in Bengaluru, the Rohit Sharma-led side struggled to deliver with the bat. They were dismissed for 46 runs with Kohli returning to the dressing room, registering a nine-ball duck.
Following the poor show, Virat Kohli regained his form in the second innings. He put up a 70-run knock, spearheading India to a solid total of 462. Sarfaraz Khan played a valuable knock of 150 to support Kohli. Despite the comeback, the hosts failed to make a say against New Zealand in the second innings. They ended up losing the match by eight wickets.
Virat Kohli had a slow start to the Bangladesh series last month in September. The opening Test in Chennai saw Virat Kohli rack up 23 runs. In the Kanpur Test, he scored 47 in the first innings before adding another unbeaten 29 in the next innings.
Meanwhile, India will now need to win the second Test to remain alive in the Test series against New Zealand.
