In the same video, India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate voiced how the players were willing to put themselves under pressure to secure a 1-1 series draw against Sri Lanka.

Speaking about the squad’s preparations, ten Doschate said, “I think it’s admirable like how the guys wanna put themselves under pressure. They feel it’s a series that we wanna at least share with Sri Lanka. And the preparation today has been centred around making sure we can be our best tomorrow.” He also spoke on how the Indian players were willing to learn from their mistakes in the previous matches.

Later in the video, India’s interim bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule also discussed the squad’s approach for the third ODI match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today.

Speaking about the team’s focus on improving on specific areas, he said, “The batters and overall as a unit, I think with the bowlers as well. Certain areas which we need to be working on have been addressed and I think that’s what they were trying to implement. A certain pattern of bowling which is being done to our batters, we are trying to see how we can match that and find a solution.”

India tied the opening ODI after being dismissed for 230. More misery followed as the visitors conceded a 32-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the second fixture.
