Many youth in the country hope for admission to the prestigious IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). Each year, around lakhs of candidates appear in the Jee Main and Advanced examinations to try for the institution, but only a few thousand can make it. Aditya Kumar from Bengaluru is one of the lucky aspirants who cracked the exam with flying colours. Know his success story.
According to the reports by News18, Aditya Kumar secured the 4th rank in the Jee Main examination. They reported further that the young man from Bengaluru, shifted to Kota in June 2022, to prepare for the examination. He was not alone, as his mother shifted with him to the place to support him. His father, Prakash Kumar is an employee at Bengaluru’s Agritech.
Aditya completed his high school from the National Public School, Indiranagar, Karnataka, scoring 97.8 per cent in his board examination. However, he mentioned that he did not have a fixed study plan. He preferred to practice maths in the morning.
He explained further that by 11 AM, he switched to theory and studied alternatively between math and theory for the rest of the duration. He emphasised how important rest is for the students aspiring to qualify for the JEE Mains. According to him, the rest time should be between one to one and a half hours. Giving some personal examples he mentioned that he likes going on walks, spending time with his mother, playing sports and spending time with his schoolmates. Aditya says that it proved to be immensely helpful during some of his toughest days.
He said that his next goal is JEE Advanced and aims to enrol in the BTech course, a branch of computer science, at IIT Bombay. His main aim is to have a career in astrophysics. He stated, “It is very important to have faith in yourself while preparing for exams. Good and bad test scores Aditya as well as ups and downs, are all part of the process.”
