BPSC 2024: 70th CCE Prelims Postponed To This Date
The applicants will be given a deadline of a month to submit their applications and select examination centres after final notification by BPSC.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the date change of the 70th Combined Civil Examination (CCE) Prelims in its latest notification. The BPSC annually conducts the Service Examination to recruit candidates for various Group A positions such as District Coordinator, Superintendent Prohibition, District Planning Officer and others who will be serving across Bihar.

The selection process includes a preliminary examination followed by mains and interviews. The commission has now issued a notice regarding the tentative dates of the preliminary exam. As per the initial notification, the exam was scheduled for September 30. BPSC has postponed the exam to November 17 tentatively.

The commission has not stated the specific reason for the postponement of the exam. The current dates are also tentative which may or may not change in future.. The candidates are requested to visit the BPSC official website–https://www.bpsc.bih.nic.in/ regularly for new updates. According to the Bihar Commission’s calendar, the 70th Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination was to be held in September but its advertisement has not been released yet.

After the advertisement is released, the applicants will get a chance for about a month to submit their applications and select examination centres. The examination centres will be given based on the applications received. Take a look at the notification:

As per reports, the Bihar Public Service Commission received vacancies for 250 posts from various departments till August. Requisitions are yet to come from many departments. The commission will issue a recruitment notification after it receives information about vacancies from all departments. Last year, BPSC released a total vacancy of 342 posts.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the UGC to become eligible for the posts. The candidates should be in the range of 21 to 37 years. The upper age limit relaxation for individuals in the OBC, SC, ST and women categories is admissible.

The exam will be conducted offline and will comprise more than 150 multiple-choice questions. It will cover a range of topics including General Science, National and International Events, Bihar and Indian History, Geography and other polity subject.
