Even though he did well in 10th grade, Nikhil Kumar chose Arts instead of Science in Class 12.

The CBSE Board recently declared the results for the class 10th and 12th exams. Nikhil Kumar from Hazaribagh has achieved the highest score in the Arts stream for 12th grade, with an outstanding 99.2 per cent. Nikhil, residing in Jaiprakash Marg in Hazaribagh, attended Angels High School in the locality. Interestingly, he also secured the top spot in his school during the 10th-grade exams.

In an exclusive interview with Local 18, Nikhil mentioned that his father serves in the BSF, while his mother is a homemaker. Despite his impressive accomplishments, Nikhil shared that he only studied for three to four hours each day.

Nikhil didn’t take any extra classes for his 12th-grade studies. He stressed the need for regular studying every day to do well in exams. Nikhil suggested that students should review their school and extra class materials regularly. This helps them remember topics better during exams and makes sure they understand everything topic. He specifically suggested that Arts students should pay extra attention to studying from NCERT books.

Nikhil has always dreamed of becoming an IAS officer, ever since he was a child. Even though he did well in 10th grade, he chose the Arts stream instead of Science. This decision allowed him more time to prepare for his goal after completing 10th grade. Despite many people suggesting Science or Commerce, Nikhil stuck with Arts because of his dream. Nikhil’s father, Suresh Prajapati, mentioned that Nikhil has always been a bright student since he was young.
