CBSE Implements New Protocol To Address Errors In Board Exam Question Papers
Be it any board, CBSE, ICSE, IB or even state board, coming across inaccuracies in the paper can be quite challenging.

Board examinations of Class 10th and 12th of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have commenced. The board is known for curating a meticulous question paper on every subject based on the NCERT syllabus. However, despite this, on several occasions, there have been a few errors in the paper, a few questions were outside the syllabus and the print quality is not too good.

Imagine finding an out-of-syllabus question or other inaccuracies in the question paper while writing the paper. It can easily lead to stress and anxiety among students. Be it any board, CBSE, ICSE, IB or even state board, coming across inaccuracies in the paper can be quite challenging. It also consumes the valuable time of the students who become worried about it.

If you or someone you know is taking the CBSE board exam and they get a paper with out-of-syllabus questions, then here is what a student must do-

  • If you spot a wrong question or an out-of-the-syllabus question in any paper of CBSE Board Exam 2024, the student should immediately inform the invigilator about it. The supervisor will then mail this to the concerned authorities at CBSE. Based on this, the board will prepare a new marking scheme. There have been several instances where students have alleged that the questions were out-of-syllabus.
  • To further avoid such errors in the question paper and to prevent any further stress to the students, the CBSE Board has prepared a new system. From now onwards, the marking scheme will be made as per the information provided by the teachers of classes 10th and 12th. This time, teachers will have to prepare a review report of the question paper and send it to the board. This has to be done on the same day the exam was held. The report should include if the paper was easy or difficult, whether there were any mistakes or not, how was the print quality and if outside the syllabus questions were asked.

This way, the teachers will be able to effectively communicate the errors directly to the board.
