JEE Main 2021 February Session Result Expected Today: How to Count Percentile Scores
NTA result 2021: Scores are normalised, students get percentile score which is relative marking. Here is all you need to know about calculation of JEE Main result

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main February 2021 session result is likely to be declared today by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website at www.jeemain.nta.nic.in. The provisional answer key for the JEE Main February 2021 is already uploaded by NTA and the objection window has also been closed on March 3. Examinees can check the result by logging in through their JEE Main February 2021application number and password.

NTA conducted the JEE Main 2021 in multiple sessions, each having a unique question paper. NTA uses normalisation of score to declare results. NTA will calculate the scores through a ‘normalization procedure based on percentile score’.

What is the Percentile Score?

Percentile score is calculated on the basis of the relative performance of all the aspirants who appeared in the examination. The marks secured by the examinees are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session. This means percentile scores indicates the percentage of total candidates who have scored equal to or below the highest marks scored by candidates. The topper of each session will be ranked in the 100 percentile.

According to official website, the percentile scores is calculated up to 7 decimal places to reduce ties.

Formulae to calculate percentile score of a candidate: 100 X number of candidates appeared in the particular session with a raw score equal to or less than the highest score is divided by the total number of the candidates appeared in that session

JEE Main 2021 result will be evaluated after scrutinizing all the objections and challenges made by the aspirants in the provisional answerkey. NTA will also release the JEE Main February 2021final answer keys after the declaration of the result. There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result.
