The online registration for the PhD Entrance exam 2024 at AIIMS, New Delhi, has started. Prospective candidates can register on the official website aiimsexams.ac.in until January 26, 5:00 PM. Correction of images and submission of necessary documents can be done until February 2, 2024.
The PhD entrance exam for 2024 will take place on February 9, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode. Admit cards can be accessed on the institute’s website starting from February 5. There are a total of 52 PhD seats available across different departments this year.
To apply for the PhD entrance exam, candidates must have a medical qualification, such as MBBS/BDS with at least 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch. in the relevant subject, or have earned a diploma from the National Board of Examination. It’s important to note that degrees from medical colleges not recognised by the Medical Council of India will render candidates ineligible.
Candidates with a nursing qualification, specifically an M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Nursing Speciality, are eligible for Ph.D. admission to the College of Nursing. Non-medical candidates must have a Master’s Degree (two-year course) from Indian Universities or its equivalent in the subject specified by the project’s requirements.
General/OBC Category candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs 2000 + Transaction charges, while SC/ST/EWS Category candidates pay Rs 1600 + Transaction charges. PwBD candidates are exempt from fees.

1. Go to the official website aiimsexams.ac.in.
2. On the homepage, select “Online Registrations for AIIMS PhD. Programme January 2024 SESSION.”
3. Register on the candidate portal and proceed.
4. Complete the form, upload the necessary documents, pay the fee, and submit.
5. Download a copy of the duly filled form.
6. Take a printout for future reference.
