There is an age-old adage which states that if you are courageous, then no one can stop you from fulfilling your dream. A girl hailing from Telangana became successful in passing the JEE exam by grazing goats, according to a report. Poverty was forced to bow down infront of her courage. Badavath Madhulatha, the daughter of a labour, who hails from Rajanna Sircilla district of Telangana, cracked the JEE exam and secured an 824th rank in the scheduled Tribe category in JEE this year and got a place in IIT.
Her family was unable to raise Rs 2.5 lakh required for her tuition and other expenses to pursue B Tech in Engineering. Madhulatha paid only 17,500 to secure her admission, but her family could not pay the additional money due to financial constraints. Her plight came to light when the faculty of Tribal Welfare Junior College, where she completed her 12th grade sought help as the fee payment deadline of July 27 approached.
According to the order of the Tribal welfare commission, Madhulatha has sought financial assistance of Rs 2,51,831. CM of Telangana, Revanth Reddy announced on July 23 that the state government will help her and provide the rest of the amount. According to reports, the CM asked Telangana state scheduled Tribe Cooperative Finance Corporation Limited (TRICOR) DGM to release Rs. 1,51,831 to the bank account of district tribal development officer in Rajanna Sircilla.
Despite these challenges, she was successful in fulfilling her dreams. Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy congratulated Madhulatha for securing a seat in the prestigious institute despite facing financial challenges. He hoped that Madhulatha will continue to excel academically in the future and make Telangana proud.
Madhulatha’s journey is inspiring evidence of resilience and determination. She plans to pursue engineering at IIT Patna to create a better future for herself and her family. Her story highlights the importance of education and the potential of hard work regardless of one’s background. Her hard work paid off when she was successful to clear one of the toughest entrance exams in India.
