Arsenal braced for bids for Cesc, Nasri
Barcelona are interested in Cesc Fabregas whereas Manchester United could bid for Nasri.

London: Offers for both Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas could be accepted by Arsenal this week, according to The Mirror.

Nasri has just one year left on his contract at the Emirates and has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, while Barcelona have now stepped up their interest in Fabregas.

The club had a previous offer of 27 million pounds rejected for the Spain international as Arsenal were looking to receive at least 40 million pounds, but the La Liga giants have now made an improved bid of 34 million pounds which has caused the player to cancel a press conference in Spain to avoid discomfort.

There has been speculation of Real Madrid hijacking the move but a move to Barca's rivals seem unlikely as Fabregas looks to have his heart set on a return to his former club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are looking to avoid a similar situation with Nasri to that of Mathieu Flamini, who left the club on a free transfer to AC Milan after allowing his contract to run down.

United's offer of 20 million pounds could be too good to refuse for the Gunners if Arsene Wenger cannot persuade his fellow Frenchman to sign a new deal at the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson sees Nasri as a good replacement for the recently retired Paul Scholes, after approaches for Wesley Sneijder and Luka Modric were rejected by their clubs.
