Dortmund rubbish Lewandowski-Madrid talks
The 24-year-old striker has been very keen to join the current Champions League winners to join his former BVB teammate Mario Gotze.

Borussia Dortmund's star striker Robert Lewandowski has found himself in a very a strange predicament in the recent weeks and on Friday Dortmund's chief executive Aki Watzke denied reports of a possible transfer talk of the Poland star to Real Madrid.

Talking to Sport1, Watzke said, ""I can only say that we don't know anything about an alleged Madrid offer for Lewandowski."

"At the moment, there has not been any contact with Real Madrid about Lewandowski. There have been rumours that Madrid are interested in Robert for a number of weeks now, but he has always been clear that he wants to join Bayern."

On Thursday, Sky Italia had claimed that Bundesliga giants had accepted a €30 million offer from Santiago Bernabeu. But Lewandowski had turn down offer as he only wants to join Bayern Munich.

Dortmund had stated earlier this week that they will not Lewandowski to join arch-rivals Bayern Munich this summer. The 24-year-old striker has been very keen to join the current Champions League winners to join his former BVB teammate Mario Götze.
