Real Madrid are supposed to pay a hefty amount to Palmeiras for each goal Endrick scores, according to a report. The young Brazilian forward made a roaring debut for Los Blancos in the last La Liga game against Valladolid on August 25. The 18-year-old spent merely 10 minutes on the pitch and struck the back of the net in the second-half stoppage time, inspiring a 3-0 victory. Courtesy of his goal, Real Madrid would pay €35,000 to Palmeiras as a performance bonus stipulated in his contract, as per Brazilian outlet ge.globo. Endrick has shifted his base to the Spanish capital this summer.
The deal included an initial down payment of €35million and a further €25 million in possible add-ons. Real Madrid had kept their eyes on Endrick for a long period. The Spanish outfit agreed on a deal to sign him from Palmeiras in December 2022. The transfer, however, could have been completed only after the forward turned 18 on July 21.
Following Endrick’s first appearance in La Liga, ge.globo reported that his former club Palmeiras would generate significant funds for each of his goals, assists and penalties earned until 2030. Based on the clause, his debut goal cost the reigning Champions League winners €35,000. It was not mentioned in the report if there would be any limit for the overall goal contributions.
These payments are part of a unique bonus package that could see Palmeiras earn a total amount of up to €12.5 million in variables. Besides the premium for goals, assists and penalties, Real Madrid will also need to pay €75,000 for every match where Endrick plays as a starter and spends at least 45 minutes on the pitch.
It means Endrick may cost Real Madrid €500,000 if he starts in at least eight La Liga fixtures this season. The fee will double in the case of 18 matches. His contract also features a clause for the Champions League. If his team can retain the title and Endrick plays four or eight games in the European competition as a starter, Real Madrid will need to pay Palmeiras €1 or €2 million, considering his performance.
There are also some variables related to individual accolades. If Endrick manages to win the Golden Boy or Kopa Trophy or comes on the top-three list of the Ballon d’Or or FIFA The Best, it will cost Los Blancos €2 million.
Endrick is expected to be seen in action when Real Madrid take on Las Palmas in their next La Liga game on August 30.
