Fiorentina are provisionally a point behind AC Milan in the race for third spot and a place in the Champions League qualifiers. Milan play Torino later on Sunday. Ljajic will miss matches against Siena and Palermo but will be available for the final game against Pescara.
The Serbia striker hit the headlines last season when he was punched by then manager Delio Rossi in the dugout. Rossi was fired by Fioretina because of the incident.
