While Sporting Clube de Goa, who were reduced to 10 men in the dying minutes when Boima Karpeh was sent off for pushing Israil Gurung, pulled one back through Boima Karpeh in the 58th minute.

The win takes Mohammedan Sporting to sixth place with seven points from six matches. Sporting Clube de Goa remained on fifth place with 10 points from six matches.

Sporting Clube de Goa, who were looking to keep their winning momentum going, made one change by bringing in Roven Pereira in place of injured Jovel Martins.

Visitors named an unchanged side that had won the last match. Both the teams started cautiously with the play confined to midfield initially.

Sporting Clube de Goa who created more scoring chances found the net first, but Rowllin Borges was pulled off side by the referee. Mohammedan Sporting slowly tried to take control of the proceedings with Josimar and Tolgay Ozbey combining well upfront with the former finding the net in the 32nd minute as he made a swift run inside the box off Penn Orji through pass and placed the ball at the far corner of the net.

Sporting Clube de Goa retaliated with series of moves and had three clear chances to equalise but Mohammedan Sporting goalkeeper Ashok Singh came up with good saves to deny Kalu Ogba twice from finding the net.

Boima Karpeh failed to score for Sporting Clube de Goa when he headed wide off a cross by Arturo in the 52nd minute.

However, the striker made amends when he beat his marker Collin Abranches as he chested Devrani's cross and let go a low shot with his left foot past keeper Ashok Singh into the net in the 58th minute.

The visitors then introduced Israil Gurung, Manish Maithani and Ajay Singh in place of Jerry Zirsanga, Khanthang Paite and Tolgay Ozbey, and the move paid off as they again went ahead through Ajay Singh who nodded home a cross from the right by Israil Gurung.

Josimar made the issue safe for the visitors when he chipped the ball over the on-rushing keeper Ravi Kumar off a pass from Rakesh Masih to see his team collect full points.

Boima Karpeh, who missed a couple of clear chances, lost his cool in the dying minutes as he pushed rival player Israil Gurung and referee Santosh Kumar gave him marching orders.
