Sadio Mane and his longtime girlfriend Aisha Tamba got married in a private ceremony in Dakar on January 7. One of this generation’s most impactful African footballers, Mane is also widely recognised for his ideals and humbleness. The footballer tends to live a private life, hence seeing him get married to his girlfriend has caused a stir amongst football fans. As per PulseSports, Tamba hails from Casamanca in Senegal and has been with the footballer since her teenage years. Just like her husband, she speaks Madingue and is the daughter of an architect. Interestingly, Tamba does not have any presence on social media.
Sadio Mane has always kept his romantic life under wraps. The Al Nassr forward never discussed marriage other than describing the type of person he would like to marry a couple of years ago. As per several media outlets, Aisha Tamba was seen by Mane when she was 16 years old but since she was a juvenile, the footballer refrained from contacting her publicly. Later, Mane discussed the situation with his uncle and talked him through his plans. This helped him weave a path for his marriage. The Senegalese had kept his intentions clear right from the beginning. He started taking care of Tamba by paying her bills for school.
Just a few days before exchanging vows with his longtime girlfriend, Sadio Mane aided the construction of a stadium in Bambali, Senegal. The footballer helped replace the mud pitch to rejuvenate the place where his football journey began. It is one of the many things that the Senegalese has done for his country’s development.
Sadio Mane completed a £34million move last year from Bayern Munich to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. His new deal with the Saudi Pro League side sees the footballer earn around £650,000 a week. Mane had a difficult spell at Bundesliga, which saw him struggle to settle in the Bavarian club. The former Liverpool star was also rumoured to have a fallout with his Bayern teammate and former Manchester City star Leroy Sane.
Since joining Al Nassr, Sadio Mane has scored a total of 12 times in 26 appearances. The Senegalese was also recently named in the squad for the upcoming African Cup of Nations. He is currently in camp with teammates and is set to lead the charge for continental glory on January 15 in Senegal’s match against Gambia. They will next take on Cameroon, followed by Guinea.
