Milan: Inter Milan had to rally to draw 1-1 with Brescia in Serie A and lost two more key players to injury on Saturday, making it another tough night for the European champion four days after a sound beating from Tottenham.
After Andrea Caracciolo put Brescia ahead in the 14th minute at the San Siro, the equaliser didn't come until the 73rd when Samuel Eto'o hit a penalty — the Cameroon international's 17th goal in 16 games in all competitions this season.
Inter right back Maicon exited with an apparent right thigh muscle problem in the 26th and center back Walter Samuel twisted his knee awkwardly in the 48th and had to be carried off on a stretcher.
Also, playmaker Wesley Sneijder exited after the first half due to lightheadedness.
Inter was already without goalkeeper Julio Cesar and midfielders Thiago Motta, Esteban Cambiasso, Dejan Stankovic and Sulley Muntari.
"It was too much to handle in one match," said Inter manager Rafa Benitez, who had to use all three of his substitutions for physical problems. "In attack we lacked a bit of precision and luck."
Inter is second with 19 points, three behind surprise Serie A leader Lazio, while Brescia is near the bottom of the table with 10 points.
On Sunday, Lazio faces city rival AS Roma in the Rome derby, AC Milan is at Bari and Juventus hosts newly promoted Cesena.
Earlier, Marco Di Vaio scored in the 84th minute then set up another goal a minute later to lead Bologna to a 2-0 win over Lecce.
The victory moved Bologna out of a tie for last place to level with Lecce on 11 points.
In Milan, Caracciolo's score began with a free kick from Nicolas Cordova, which turned into a long pass to Caracciolo, who then dribbled around Samuel and beat Inter reserve goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi.
Eto'o's penalty came following a foul on him by defender Gaetano Berardi.
Eto'o also had a chance in the 16th but his grazed header sailed just wide. Coutinho got off a long, powerful shot three minutes later but it was directed right at Brescia goalkeeper Michele Arcari.
Brescia had a chance to make it 2-0 in the 40th but former Juventus defender Jonathan Zebina couldn't finish off a counterattack, with his weak header going wide.
Eto'o had a chance to equalise in the 68th but Arcari did well to charge forward and block the shot.
Diego Milito, making his first start in more than a month, missed a potential winner high five minutes into added time.
At Bologna's Dall'Ara Stadium, Di Vaio connected on a header from the center of the area, then provided a perfect cross for Uruguayan forward Henry Gimenez to score from in the 85th.
Di Vaio has six of Bologna's 10 goals this season and raised his Serie A career scoring total to 119.
