Switzerland: UEFA President Michel Platini says rules limiting spending on player transfers and wages could be eased next month.

Platini tells French broadcaster RTL in comments aired Monday that the UEFA executive committee could relax some Financial Fair Play regulations. The executive committee will meet on June 29-30 in Prague.

UEFA has had regular talks with European clubs since October about modifying the rules, which first sanctioned clubs last season for overspending.

UEFA and the European Club Association declined to comment Monday on details of any proposed changes.

Last May, UEFA fined Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain 20 million euros ($22.8 million) each for breaking rules designed to curb spending above clubs' income from football business.

Both clubs spent heavily after being bought by owners from Abu Dhabi and Qatar, respectively.
