How to Move Money From Cash App to Apple Pay: Easy Guide
If you have Cash App and Apple Pay, you might have wondered if you can transfer money between these apps. While there isn't a direct way to move money from your Cash App account into your Apple Pay, you can transfer money from Cash App to your bank and then add that money to your Apple Cash card. Alternatively, you can add your Cash App debit card (if you have one) to your Apple Wallet. Keep reading to learn how.
Quick Steps

Bank Account Transfer

Open Cash App and tap your balance in the lower left corner. You can't directly transfer money from Cash App to Apple Pay, but you can work around this by withdrawing money from Cash App to your bank account, and then adding that money to your Apple Cash.

Tap Cash Out. It's near the top of the screen, under your cash balance, and next to the Add Cash button.

Withdraw some of your balance. After tapping Cash Out, use the slider to select how much money you want to withdraw, then select either a Standard or Instant Deposit. Then tap the Cash Out button to confirm the withdrawal. Standard deposits are free but take 1 to 3 days to process. Instant Deposits happen immediately, but are subject to a fee of 0.5% to 1.75%. If you're trying to move money to your Apple Pay quickly, select the Instant Deposit.

Open your Wallet app. Before you can add money to your Apple Cash, your debit card must be added to your Wallet. If your debit card isn't in your Wallet app, check out this wikiHow article to learn how to add it. Make sure the debit card in your Wallet is connected to the same bank account that your Cash App account is connected to. Alternatively, if your Cash App and Apple Pay are connected to different accounts that are both under your main bank account, you can transfer the Cash App funds from one account to the other account (which is usually instant and fee-free, but this may vary by bank).

Open your Apple Cash card settings. To do this, tap on your Apple Cash card, then tap the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.

Tap Add Money. It's the top option in the menu with a dollar sign icon next to it.

Enter how much money you want to transfer. You must transfer a minimum of $10. Tap Add in the top right corner to move to the next screen.

Complete the transfer. If Apple Cash selected the wrong debit card, tap the card selector (which is directly under the "Cash" heading) and select the correct debit card. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer by authenticating it via Face ID, Touch ID, passcode, or Optic ID. Your authentication method will depend on your settings and iPhone model.

Add Cash App Card to Apple Wallet

Open the Wallet app. If you have a Cash App card, you can add it to your Apple Wallet like any other debit card, as the Cash App card is technically a prepaid debit card. If you have a Cash App account but don't have a Cash App card, you can order one in the app as long as you're over 18 years old and have a physical mailing address. Alternatively, you can also add your Cash App card to your Apple Wallet from the Cash App app. In the app, go to the card tab and tap Add to Apple Pay, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Tap the + button in the upper-right corner to add your card. To add your Cash App card, follow these steps: Tap Debit or Credit Card, then tap Continue to proceed. Use the camera to capture your Cash App card details or tap Enter Card Details Manually to type in your information. Open Cash App to verify that your card was added to Apple Wallet. Accept the terms and conditions on the screen to finalize adding your Cash App card to your Wallet app.

Use your Cash App card wherever Apple Pay is accepted. You may also be able to add money from your Cash App card to your Apple Cash card directly in the Wallet, but this hasn't been confirmed by Cash App or Apple. However, if you want to try, follow these steps: Tap on your Apple Cash card in your Wallet app. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner and select Add Money. Enter how much you want to add to your Apple Card. There is a minimum of $10. Select your Cash App card in the confirmation screen. If your Cash App card can't be used, it'll be under the "Not available for this payment" heading and grayed out.

What's your reaction?
