Producer Bazar Hosts Discussion On Telugu Cinema’s Digital Commercial Potential
Producer Bazaar has now partnered with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to provide the much-needed push for the Telugu industry

A large number of Telugu film producers and directors participated in an interactive conference organized by Producer Bazaar in collaboration with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. The event was organized to deliver the timely message that the Telugu film industry, a powerhouse of entertainment and content, cannot be left behind as digital transformation sweeps the international showbiz market. Following the success of similar workshops for the Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala, respectively, Producer Bazaar has now partnered with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce to provide the much-needed push for the Telugu industry to realise its full commercial potential by utilising digital avenues.

In-depth discussions about ways to maximize Telugu cinema’s digital commercial potential took place at the programme, which was attended by India’s Leading IP Strategist, Advocate Mr Bharath (Kria Law). Founders of Producer Bazaar GK Thirunavakarasu and Vijay were also present.

Film producer and entrepreneur Mr Sharrath Marar spoke about the programme and stated, “We have always been blindly talking about linear and nonlinear, close the agreement, proceed with the release, focus on success, and then move on to the next movie. However, as Mr. GK Tirunavukarasu and Mr. Vijay stated, we have reached Film Business 3.0. Markets are maturing to break rights independently and look at how to monetize that.”

Since we are essentially filmmakers and find it exhausting to prepare 30-page agreements, filmmakers have so far concentrated on producing high-quality material. As producers, we now need to concentrate on total revenue generation. We are grateful to GK and Vijay for cracking open the box we have been dying to open but have been too afraid to do so lately. We can now track our rights when we concentrate on making films thanks to Producer Bazaar,” said Supriya Yalagadda, Secretary, Active Film Producers Guild.

Producer Bazaar is the first media & entertainment IP rights marketplace and media technology firm in India. It has received initial funding from the government of India through the SISFS (Startup India Initial Fund Scheme).
