Vijay Antony-starrer Bichagadu 2 (Pichaikkaran 2 in Tamil) is reportedly set to make its world television premiere. The film did a good business at the box-office, and now it is going to make its debut on the small screen. As per reports, Bichagadu 2 is going to have its premiere on the small screen via Star Maa channel. The film is scheduled to air on the channel on November 26, 2023 at 6 pm, which is a Sunday. Bichagadu 2 is the Telugu dubbed version of the original Tamil film Pichaikkaran 2. Bichagadu 2 did better business with its Tamil counterpart. It is also available for streaming on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.
Pichaikkaran 2: Anti Bikili is the directorial debut of actor Vijay Antony, who is also the lead in the film. It also features Kavya Thapar, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, Hareesh Peradi, Dev Gill, John Vijay, YG Mahendran, and Mansoor Ali Khan. In the film, Vijay Antony is seen in a double role. The production was under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation. The editing and music in the film were also handled by Vijay Antony.
Pichaikkaran 2 was released on May 18, 2023. The film did a collection of Rs 36 crore at the box-office, on a budget of Rs 15 crore. Reportedly, the film collected around Rs 16.8 crore in the Telugu speaking states, and made around Rs 15 crore in the Tamil language. It is a standalone sequel to Pichaikkaran, which was released in 2016.
Pichaikkaran 1 was directed and written by Sasi, and produced by Vijay Antony. The film stars Vijay Antony and Satna Titus as the leads, and also features Bhagavathi Perumal. It was a success at the box-office, doing a business of Rs 42 crore. The film was also remade in Odia, Kannada and Marathi.
