1st JEE provisional allotment for engineering

The first round of allotment for engineering streams under the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) counselling was announced here on Monday.

 As many as 21,745 candidates had locked choices for the engineering branches under the first phase of counselling which is underway. Barring a handful, the first round allotment has covered most of the candidates. The first round allotment being provisional in nature, the clear picture of admission will emerge when the final allotment is made on August 4. The JEE Committee requested the candidates to wait for the final allotment before taking a decision on the admission basing on the provisional round. “Since there is a system for auto upgradation, candidates may land up better options when the final allotment is made,” Secretary of JEE Committee Priyabrata Sahoo said.  Meanwhile, allotment for lateral entry category of engineering as well as pharmacy  will be held on Tuesday. Allotment for the medical branch will be held on July 26. ENS
