2 Booked For Gatecrashing Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant Wedding In Mumbai

The Mumbai Police has booked two men who entered Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding without an invitation, according to ANI.

The news agency said while Venkatesh Narasaiya Alluri, 26, is a YouTuber, the other accused, Lukman Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, 28, calls himself a businessman.

Both were taken into custody by Mumbai’s BKC police, with separate cases registered against them. They had allegedly come from Andhra Pradesh to attend the wedding. The police have released the accused after giving them notice and taking legal action in both cases, ANI reported.

Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant got married to pharmaceutical heiress and childhood sweetheart Radhika Merchant, 29, daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant, at a grand event attended by celebrities, politicians, film stars and cricketers on Friday. The ceremony was held at Mumbai’s Jio World Drive — a convention centre built and owned by the Ambani family.

Saturday was the Shubh Aashirwad while Sunday is the grand reception.

Political bigwigs namely Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President Ram Nath Kovind, Andhra Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath, and Congress leader Sachin Pilot attended the event. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, and deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, too, attended the ceremony.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloe, Nigerian rapper Rema, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and global business tycoons such as oil giant Saudi Aramco CEO Amin Nasser, Samsung Electronics chairman Jay Lee, among others, were in attendance.
