HYDERABAD: The illegal activities in resorts on city outskirts once again got exposed with Medchal police arresting more than 50 persons, including 19 dancers from Mumbai for indulging in obscene acts. The organisers engaged the dancers to perform obscene dances and customers, who include businessmen and realtors from various parts of the state, were found throwing money on dancers in an inebriated condition.
On information about illegal activities in Green Villa resorts at Muneerabad under Medchal police limits, police raided the premises around 11 p.m on Sunday. They found girls dancing to jarring music and customers throwing wads of currency and cheering their obscene dances. "Thirty persons were taken into custody who were found in an inebriated condition throwing money on the dancers,' Medchal police inspector V Yadagiri Reddy said.Police said four persons, Hanumantha Rao, Ranjan, Faizal and Manoj had taken the resort for lease and were organising the dances on weekends. The customers include rich businessmen and realtors from places like Siddipet, Karimnagar, LB Nagar, Jubilee Hills and other places.

Police arrested 19 dancers from Mumbai, 30 customers and the four organisers and seized `1.92 lakh cash, 49 mobile phones, eight cars and some costly liquor bottles. Police said the organisers did not have permission to organise the dances and allow alcohol consumption on the premises. Cases were registered against the arrested for the illegal activities and also under the Excise Act.
