Aadhar card number to be added to voter list

Faridabad: To weed out bogus voting, Aadhar card number of the voter will now be added to voter list.

District administration in Faridabad has launched a drive to collect the Aadhar card numbers of the voters and link it to electoral rolls. The administration has started the updation and rectification of the electoral list in Faridabad.

Amit Kumar Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner Faridabad said that all the booth level officers (BLO) would be going door to door to update the voting list.

The staff has been instructed to mention the Aadhar card number of the individuals against their name in the voter list.

Agrawal said,"This Aadhar card number will be visible on the voter ID card also."
