TIRUCHY: AIADMK leadership changed party nominees for nine wards to pacify cadre who were protesting against the choice of candidates. New candidates for wards 9, 10, 13, 30, 39, 52, 60, 61 and 63 were announced here.They include former district secretary KC Paramasivam. Cadre, who were not satisfied with the selection have been protesting for two days in front of the house of rural district secretary and Minister NR Sivapathi and urban district Secretary and MLA R Manoharan’s office alleging that they had shown favouritism to the their supporters. They complained party tickets had been offered to people who were not involved in party activities.They also alleged that the seats were allocated to those who were close to the minister. Earlier, a group allegedly ransacked Manoharan’s house.
