Among the three big releases of the last week, the most unlikely and less promoted film 'Amen' has emerged the most victorious at the Box Office counters.
Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, the movie is registering cent percent collections in metros in the weekends while centres in rural areas have about fifty percent collections. A romantic tale, peppered with the story of a church band facing defeat in the competitions for many years, 'Amen' has excelled mostly due to its presentation and narrative styles. The movie featuring Fahad, Indrajith, Swathy, and Joy Thomas is said to have raised the bar in Mollywood and is sure to find more takers in the coming weeks.
The 'Ordinary' team which struck gold at the box office last year was back with an out-and-out entertainer in '3 Dots' but has to settle with a second place in the collection window. The movie which revolves around the trio who decide to start afresh as reformed individuals once they come out of jail is marred by familiar narrative styles and predictable events, though its has some good music and technical sides.
Meanwhile, Salam Bapu's, 'Lal, Fahad and Asif Ali starrer 'Red wine' has moved down to position three with not much queue before Collection windows. The movie planned as an emotional thriller may have to look for favorable collections in the coming weeks to call it a hit.
