THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Many are uncertain about what God has in store for the future. But ‘Fumes’, a future message application, says a message keeps waiting for you with us; faithfully kept secret by one of your beloved. Developed my Xminds Private Limited in the city, the application enables storing an e-mail with content for long and delivering to the recipient in a pre-set time by the sender. Be it text, music or video, ‘Fumes’ assures  100-per cent secrecy to your message and it would be stored in a Future Message (FM) server till the date of delivery. All you need to do is, log in through your Facebook or Twitter account and furnish the message in the desired format in the ‘Fumes’ page. The sender needs to provide details, including the recipient’s name, e-mail address, content and subject. And all these are available absolutely free. Soon, the message is set, an intimation message goes to the recipients’ mail box telling that a message waits to be delivered along with the date, sans explanation on the content. “It is the exploration of the curiosity factor. The recipient will thus come to know that at a certain point of time, a mail is ready to be delivered. The significance of social networking tools is tremendous these days. Thus, they were made the log in tool. Youngsters aged between 20 and 35 years are therefore the target group at present,” says Jagadeesh Vijayakumar, Chief Technical Officer of Xminds Private Limited.  A reminder of anniversaries or birthdays in the future, a story for the grandchild, a message of love for your spouse; all can be kept secret for years. Maybe, by that time the sender may not be alive!  A countdown message starts getting into the mail box of the recipient a week before the delivery date. The personal details of the sender and receiver are kept confidential by ‘Fumes’, so that no foreign hand can do mischief.  Though there is a set time period for the message to be viewed, by reaching an agreement between the recipient and ‘Fumes’, the mail can be opened by the receiver before the desired date. Xminds has launched a website for ‘Fumes’, www.fumes.me.
