BANGALORE: Red Bull introduced Kart Fight for the first time in country. Fans had an opportunity to experience the thrill of speed and begin a journey similar to the one taken by few world’s best F1 drivers by starting off with the Go-Kart.Red Bull Kart Fight was held across three Indian cities - Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. The event which started from November 24 held grand finale in the city on Sunday at Ezone. Many passionate motorsport enthusiasts participated to battle it out to record the fastest lap time to qualify for the national finals. The event which was open for all included top 32 racers from each city to compete with each other to qualify for a place in the finals. Amitesh, a qualifier from Chennai said, “The event is well-organised as we had enough time to practice on the tracks and set time. The competition is very exciting because there are so many people taking part in it and also there are professional racers as well as beginners in the competition. The racing scene in India is pretty bard and events like these are sure to bring about a change in present scenerio.” He added “The competition is really fair, everyone has a equal opportunity to show what they are capable of, and the track and carts are simply amazing.”The winners of the grand finals were all from Bangalore, Nikhil Kashyap stood first who was then followed by Akhil Rabindra and Arshaan. The three winners now have a great opportunity to fly to visit the home of Formula One champions, Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes, UK. The chief guest of the event held in the city was Indian fastest driver Narain Karthikeyan, who said, “This is a great platform for youngters to make their way towards F1. One cannot reach there over night. It requires hard work and determination to participate in races similar to this. Races like this is a good place for them, to showcase their talent.”  He concluded that he is glad that youngsters are promoting racing in India.
