HYDERABAD: An engineering student ended his life by jumping before a running train at Khairatabad in the early hours of Sunday reportedly due to family problems.19-year-old M S Pavan Kumar was a second year B Tech student of Malla Reddy college at Jeedimetla. He was living with his grandmother at Chintal Basthi in Khairatabad.According to Nampally railway police, Pavan Kumar’s parents died in a road accident 10 years ago and since then he had been staying with his grandmother and his uncle, Shankar.Police officials said that Shankar had picked up an argument with Pavan Kumar’s grandmother on Saturday night asking her for money to buy alcohol.Pavan Kumar tried to pacify his uncle during the argument but the latter beat up the boy and also his grandmother.Depressed over this incident, Pavan Kumar left the house and did not return home since then.His body was found on the railway tracks near Khairatabad on Sunday. Police have registered a case and are investigating into it.
