Bhutan King Jigme Khesar condoles J&K flood death and devastation
The King wished the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to navigate the difficult time.

Srinagar: King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar has expressed his condolences over the loss of life and property due to the devastating floods in Jammu and Kashmir.

"His Excellency Jigme Khesar, King of Bhutan, has written to Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra to convey his deepest condolences to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the loss of hundreds of lives and injuries and damage to property due to calamitous floods and landslides in the state," an official spokesman said.

"It was with the greatest unhappiness that I received news of the calamitous floods and landslides in Jammu and Kashmir, which has resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives, as well as injuries and damage to property," the Bhutanese

King wrote.

"Please accept my deepest condolences to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We offer our prayers for those who have lost their lives, and that the ongoing rescue operations succeed in bringing relief to those who are still stranded,"

the King added.

The King wished the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to navigate the difficult time. The Governor has replied to the King of Bhutan to thank him for his concern.
