The Bihar legislature on Friday was adjourned sine die after a six-day long stormy monsoon session beginning from July 26.
During the brief session, two houses of the legislature took up a number of legislative and financial businesses and adjournment motions on issues like the Chapra mid-day meal tragedy, drought, Bodh Gaya serial blasts, Bagaha police firing and related incidents on law and order front.
During the session, nine bills assented by the Governor were laid in the legislature which also passed eight bills.
It was for the first time in over seven years of time that the BJP sat on opposition benches following the JD(U)'s split from the NDA over elevation of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi becoming BJP's poll campaign panel chief two months ago.
Wearing the hat of the opposition members, the BJP lawmakers raised various issues and trooped into the well of the two houses on several occasions forcing the presiding officers to adjourn the houses for hours.
