Gopalganj: A newly-married woman died due to burn injuries after her father's house was set on fire by neighbour in Ekdedhwa village in Bihar's Gopalganj district, police sources said on Sunday. In a vengeful act, Udaymal Pal set on fire his neighbour Gorakh Yadav's house on Saturday night following a land dispute between them, the sources said.
Yadav's newly-wed daughter Vasumati Devi sustained severe burn injuries in the fire and succumbed to injuries in the Sadar hospital, they said. Yadav has lodged a named FIR against Pal charging him with arson at this house, the sources said.
The sources added that the accused person was absconding.
