PARADIP: Legislator and former school and mass education minister Bishnu Das has been alleged to have violated model Code of Conduct by using school premises for BJD foundation day celebration on Monday.A Jagatsinghpur Municipal Council member has lodged a case against Das in this regard.School and Mass Education Department Secretary Aparajita Sarangi in November had through a letter directed all authorities of the department not to allow use of government schools and teachers training institutes for non-educational purposes. All headmasters and circle inspectors of schools were notified accordingly.Sources said in violation of the norm, the authorities of SK Academy allegedly gave permission to BJD workers to conduct a meeting on the school premises on the occasion of the party’s foundation day.Guardians of students alleged that loudspeakers were used by the party workers during the meeting at the school playground.However, school headmaster Radhamohan Das said that he was forced by the party workers to allow them to use the school playground.Meanwhile, councillor Biplav Chaudhary of Congress has filed an FIR in Jagatsinghpur police station and sought intervention of the Secretary, the district collector and the SP. Cases have also been lodged against Tirtol legislator Rabindra Bhoi, Municipal Chairman Madhusudan Sahu and other BJD leaders.
