BANGALORE: Much relief was in store for former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa when  the Karnataka High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to him, his sons B Y Raghavendra and B Y Vijayendra, and son-in-law R N Sohankumar in private complaint no 6.Justice H Billappa, while granting anticipatory bail to Yeddyurappa and his kin, observed that there was enough material for the accused to indicate that there was an apprehension of arrest and hence the plea was maintainable. The court put forth a slew of conditions, which include production of a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh each along with two sureties for a similar sum. The court also directed them not to contact witnesses and tamper with evidences.Further, it directed them to attend the lower court proceedings without fail except under extraordinary circumstances, to not commit any offence, and to not leave the country without prior notice of the lower court.Should any of the conditions be violated, the complainant could approach the HC for cancellation of their bail, the judge said. The petitioners had already been granted anticipatory bail in two other similar cases by the the same court.
