Caught on camera: Goons open fire at toll workers in UP's Barabanki
The vandals were driving a luxury car and refused to pay a toll tax saying the car belonged to a minister.

Barabanki: In no end to the lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh, goons opened fire at toll workers and tried to vandalise a toll plaza on Tuesday morning in Barabanki.

The vandals were driving a luxury car and refused to pay a toll tax saying the car belonged to a minister. They also failed to produce an ID card as proof.

Ravi Chaturvedi, an eye witness, said, "The assailants said it was a minister's car but failed to produce the ID. We have filed a complaint with the police.'

The goons then tried to kidnap a toll plaza worker but opened fire after many toll workers arrived at the spot and drove away.

Mukesh, a toll plaza worker, said, "It was not a minister's car and they didn't want to pay the tax. They tried to push one of our workers into the car. They opened fired on us and then drove away."

No one was injured in the incident.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV cameras. Police have launched an investigation in the case.
